Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a PawDate account or using the PawDate mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of a jurisdiction where the Service is available to use PawDate. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information when registering.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Not share your account with any other person.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content about yourself or your dog.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or their dogs.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without written permission.
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to circumvent any security or access-control measure.

5. Dog profiles and content

You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, bios, etc.). By uploading content you grant PawDate a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the platform. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions (Paw Pass, Pack Pass) are purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing, refunds, and cancellations are governed by the applicable store's terms. PawDate does not process or store payment card information. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

7. Shelter donations

PawDate donates 10% of net subscription revenue to our verified shelter partner network on a monthly basis. Donation amounts are published in-app. Individual users have no enforceable claim to a specific donation being made on their behalf.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PawDate does not guarantee that playdates arranged through the Service will be safe or suitable. You assume all risk associated with meeting other users and their dogs in person. Always exercise reasonable care and judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawDate's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
